PreSchool Children at Shawnee United Methodist Church sing during Sunday School classes with their teachers.

Kindergardners, and those in 1^st and 2^nd grades practice in the chapel from 9:30-9:45 a.m. 

Children in grades 3^rd through 6^th grades practice from 10:15-10:30 a.m. in the chapel.

How are our children engaged in music ministry at Shawnee UMC?

·         The sing for Sunday worship (usually 10:50 a.m. services) several times during school year

·         They assist in leading Children’s Sabbath in January every year (K-6^th Graders)

·         They prepare a special Easter morning Call to Worship, with singers and readers

·         They present an annual Sunday afternoon intergenerational Christmas Program

·         They learn new music during Vacation Bible School in June

·         They may join the Joyous Ringers hand chime/instrument group (2^nd-6^th Graders), led by Brenda Loscher-Hudson, phone (913) 962-4456
